June Resident Event Ideas

Do you hear that? That’s summer and she’s ready to PARTY! We’re sharing our June 2023 resident event ideas that your residents will not want to miss.

When a resident signs a lease, it’s not like we are done selling. If anything it’s just the beginning because we need to continually remind them why they chose you and why your community brings them a lot of value. Summer gives you the perfect opportunity to hit on those outdoor, communal amenities that renters are after by hosting resident events in those areas.

According to the 2022 NMHC/Grace Hill Renter Preferences Survey, amenities that ranked high outside of the typical washer/dryer or air conditioning, were outdoor features like roof-top patios, parks, playgrounds, and more. People want a variety of spaces outdoors to enjoy, and hosting your events there only reminds them that those places are waiting for them. So let’s get to those ideas, shall we?

4. Western Watering Hole

Everyone’s got to stay hydrated and this themed drink bar is the perfect way to get residents something they need in a way they will remember.

Happy Hour: Have alcohol with mixers, hard seltzers, beer, or wine. You could even have a local bar help host with some of their signature cocktails.

Summer Sips: Have non-alcoholic favorites like sweet tea, lemonade, sparkling water, and more. This can be left up all summer long for residents or in a model.

Grab all the designs and shopping list to bring this to life when you become a Sprout Member.

5. Food Truck Frenzy

No shopping required! Just invite some local food trucks to come park at your community around dinner time. You can work out a partnership to give residents a discount.

PRO TIP: Partner with local food trucks to have a new one come every month. Encourage the food trucks to post about it on social media and encourage outside visitors to come too. It’s a great marketing opportunity for you.
