#99: April Resident Events + Secrets from a Luxury Marketing Specialist

This week I have a special guest with me- Carly Peters, Senior Marketing Specialist at Quarterra.
As a Marketing Director over ten luxury communities, you’ll want to hear Carly answer these insightful questions:
What is your current role and what does a typical day in-the-life look like for you?
How do you approach overall marketing for your communities?

Carly has over 6.5 years of experience helping the west coast teams with marketing initiatives. She currently covers the Mountain Southwest region (AZ, CO, & NV) for her portfolio, but has also covered CA, OR, and WA in previous years. She works closely with her teams (right now it's 10 communities, but this number is growing) to develop a wide array of marketing strategies in order to drive in traffic to each community, as well as help manage the daily, monthly, and yearly marketing plans and goals each team has. She also helps train all the new marketing team hires, as well as presents and trains marketing to all the newly hired Quarterra associates during orientation.
She started working onsite as a Leasing Professional for the first 6 months of her career and then worked her way up to the corporate side of marketing, starting with the Marketing Coordinator position and transitioning to Marketing Specialist, then Senior Marketing Specialist, which is her current title. She grew up in Paris, Texas and then went to TCU in Fort Worth, TX for college and got her degree in business marketing. Carly is a very energetic person who loves meeting new people and exploring new places. She also loves her French Bulldog (named Dallas)!

It's officially festival season, so you better get ready to put on your party shoes. This event is all about flowers, music, and most of all finding the small things that bring your residents joy.
Let's start with the backdrop. It may look wild, but it's actually pretty simple to set up as it's strips of rainbow garland with paper flowers on top.
Then you add the festival essentials like glowsticks, temporary tattoos, flower crowns, and more. If they can't get to a festival, bring it to them!
Add the treats and tunes. Get wildly creative with your displays and playlists to make this a memorable event.
